六爻占卜里最重要的概念就是动爻。老阳（9）和老阴（6）就是动爻——它们会变成相反的爻。老阳变阴老阴变阳。动了之后本卦就变成了变卦——本来问的是A卦的结果现在因为某些因素变成了B卦。The most important concept in Liu Yao divination is the Moving Line. Old Yang (9) and Old Yin (6) are moving lines — they transform into their opposites. Old Yang becomes Yin, Old Yin becomes Yang. Once moved, the original hexagram becomes the transformed hexagram — what you asked about in Hexagram A now shifts to Hexagram B due to certain factors.
动爻代表事情变化的关键点。一个卦有动爻才叫活卦——没动爻的叫静卦。静卦代表事情比较稳定变化不大。动爻越多变化越复杂。Moving lines represent key change points in a situation. A hexagram with moving lines is called a "living hexagram" — one without is a "still hexagram". A still hexagram indicates things are relatively stable with little change. More moving lines mean more complex changes.
动爻在哪个位置事情的变化就在哪个方面：初爻动——事情刚开始就有变数。二爻动——过程中有转折。五爻动——高层或外部环境有变化。上爻动——结局可能跟预期不一样。Where the moving line sits determines where the change occurs: First line moves — things change at the very start. Second line moves — a pivot happens mid-process. Fifth line moves — changes at high levels or in the external environment. Top line moves — the outcome may differ from expectations.
